Kimama Bereisheet is an Israeli summer camp in New Jersey with a staff of Hebrew-speaking counselors offering an unforgettable 8-week experience. The program is specifically designed for Israeli-American children living in the United States, ages 5-13. We also offer a Leadership Development Program for teens ages 14-16. It offers a summer experience integrating numerous and varied activities, with an emphasis on spoken language through activities with the goal of creating an unforgettable Israeli summer.

ACTIVITIES
ROCK CLIMBING
הסדנאות מעניקות חוויה מעצימה וחזקה לחניכים על ידי האהבה לספורט, ומתוך אמונה שכל אחד יכול "למצוא את הנינג'ה שבו" באופן מהנה, מאתגר מותאם ליכולתו. המטרה לפתח ביטחון עצמי, כושר, חיזוק יכולות פיזיות ומנטליות, יכולת התמדה, התגברות על קשיים ופחדים, חיזוק אמונה עצמית, ידע מקצועי בתחום הנינג'ה והספורט
A challenging experience that combines physical abilities along with the development of creative thinking! Enjoy climbing to big heights! The climbing wall is an educational tool for setting goals and reaching them.
SPORTS
החניכים יתנסו בבישול ואפייה ברמות המקצועיות ביותר, כל סדנא תעסוק בנושא אחר, מה שיאפשר לילדים ובני הנוער להתנסות במגוון רחב של מתכונים ולחזור הביתה עם כלים לצעדים ראשונים במטבח. אופי הסדנאות יהיה חוויתי כאשר הילדים מתנסים בפרקטיקה של ההכנה וזוכים לטעום בסוף את המנה שעמלו עליה במשך הסדנה.
Collaboration, teamwork, healthy competitiveness and individual pride within a team - these are key components in team and individual sports. Throughout the camp we will learn and play a variety of sports games in the advanced sports facilities in the camp.
ARTS & CRAFTS
החניכים לומדים להכיר את הכלבים, לקרוא את שפת הגוף של הכלב, לפתור בעיות התנהגות נפוצות. מתרגלים פקודות משמעת בסיסיות ומתקדמות יותר, לומדים מונחי יסוד בעולם הכלבים, וטיפול במרפאה וטרינרית. המטרה להעניק לחניכות.ים טכניקות ויסודות באילוף ולהעצים את הערך והדימוי העצמי.
Art is a wonderful way to express ourselves and get to know each other better. During the activities we will experience different types of visual art and a wide variety of materials. All of this in the most fun, colorful and exciting way!
SWIMMING
On hot summer days, a pool is a MUST! So lucky we have a pool in the camp compound! Each tribe will enjoy pool activities - parties, games and water competitions with good music, popsicles and full of opportunities to make meaningful connections.

Karen has been a partner in operating camp behind the scenes and volunteering her time for Bereisheet Hebrew school. Additionally, she has run community holiday events all while being Principal of an early childhood center and a mother of 4! We are excited to announce Karen as Director of Camp Bereisheet
